How to Record iPhone & iPad Screen on Mac

For a product demo, tutorial or troubleshooting, recording your iPhone or iPad screen can be incredibly useful. If you have a Mac, you can easily record your device's screen using Motionik.
Setting Up Motionik for iPhone/iPad Screen Recording
Download and install Motionik on your Mac if you haven't already. It's free to try on your Mac. Once installed, you should see the Motionik start recording window as shown below:

Click on the "Device" tab to access the device recording options. You should see a window similar to this:

Connect Your iPhone or iPad
Use a Lightning or USB-C cable to connect your iPhone or iPad to your Mac. Make sure you use a good quality cable to ensure a stable connection. You might see a prompt on your iPhone or iPad asking for permission to trust the connected computer. Make sure to tap "Trust".

Now if you hit "Refresh" in our previous window, you should see your connected device listed. Make sure you unlock your iPhone or iPad to allow screen recording.

Start recording by selecting your device and clicking the "Start Recording" button. To stop the recording, simply click the red stop button. To cancel, click the trash icon.

After stopping the recording, you can preview, edit and export the recorded video using Motionik.
